Dr. Analice Kamala is a distinguished food safety and nutrition expert with over 25 years of experience in food science, nutrition, analytical chemistry, regulatory affairs, and research. She is a Principal Research Scientist and Acting Director of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre (TFNC). Her work focuses on research in mycotoxin risk assessment, food fortification, and policy development integrating analytical chemistry, exposure modelling, and community-based interventions . Dr. Kamala is an active member of national and regional food safety and Codex committees. She holds a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences (Food Science and Nutrition) from Ghent University, Belgium and has published extensively on food safety and public health in peer Reviewed international journals.
